I bought an old home that has what seems to be some yellow and some white fiberglass batt insulation in the attic. Can asbestos be mistaken for fiberglass batt insulation?

In an outdated house I suppose there could be some asbestos in the batting but I feel it would mostly be fiberglass. Asbestos was used in a lot of items prior to the 70′s. Most frequently as around steam pipes and boilers. The fibers are normally white or tan, fine textured, and are quickly broken and disfigured. Fiberglass is more boinky and springs back in form easier. I would gather some several fibers and have them examined at a Lab. Or at the really least, locate a microscope and examine them out yourself. These fibers are effectively documented and sample photos can be located on the World wide web to assess.
