In the late 1800s and early 1900s, asbestos was considered as ideal material for used in construction industry. Since then, asbestos using in construction industry is spreading worldwide. The problem with asbestos arises when the fibers of asbestos become airborne and are inhaled. Because of the size of the fibers, the lungs cannot expel them. They are also sharp and penetrate tissues.
The first lawsuits of asbestos victims were brought by asbestos attorney in 1929. It brought a new hope for the victims. But asbestos using in industry is not stopped. It even increases in numbers. As a result, the victims increase too. Number of cases that is handled by asbestos attorney is increase annually. Asbestos as a dangerous substance is becoming the headline in media. It forced the government to take an action. In 1980s, government makes policy to reduce asbestos using in industry. But it was too late.
